Rules of the Summer School on Phys102e

  1. You are assumed to follow this website regularly. All announcements will be available from this website.

  2. The exams will not be common with other groups.

  3. As in the winter term, you are expected to attend at least 70% of the lectures.

  4. No HW will be given. There are "recommended problems" as given above. This does NOT mean that there will be a similar problem in the exam. It only means that you are expected to be able to solve such a problem by yourself.

  5. You are free to enter the class (join the lesson) during the lecture, BUT please be polite enough to make your entrance least distracting by using the back door and choosing a seat that is close to the door. Disturbing the others by trying to sit near to a friend is a rude attitude.

  6. 1st Midterm 30%, 2nd Midterm 30% and the Final exam 40%.

  7. Read Five Frequently Fatal Freshman Physics Fantasies.

Announcements

1-Note the change in the exam schedule.
2- Grades of  MT-1: morning group & afternoon group.
3-2nd Midterm: 24 of July (Tuesday) 18.30-20.30 (will be announced on Monday)

7-A few links:
a - A powerpoint presentation about theories of light
b - A nice applet showing how an EM wave propagates
Please notify me if you find anything better.
8-Those students who are shown in red in the attendance lists (morning group & afternoon group) can enter the final exam, but if they happen to fail they will be graded as VF rather than F.
9- The solutions of the Final Exam.
